Lisa A. Cooper, MD, MPH, is a Bloomberg Distinguished Professor and the James F. Fries Professor of Medicine at Johns Hopkins, where she directs the Center for Health Equity. A general internist, she has authored more than 300 peer-reviewed papers and is a member of the National Academy of Medicine and a MacArthur Fellow.
